Adventure Inn is conveniently located about ten minutes from the San Jose Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) and ten minutes from Central San Jose. It is a full-service Costa Rica hotel in the prestigious, up-scale neighborhood of Ciudad Cariari just east of the Wyndham Herradura and the Hilton DoubleTree.

All guest rooms have air-conditioning; you will probably find it unnecessary. San Jose, Costa Rica has been rated as having one of the world’s best climates by National Geographic because we are in a large central valley a kilometer (3200 feet) above sea level. Adventure Inn guests enjoy a constant 22-26°C temperature (72-78°F) year-round.

Costa Rica has two seasons: the rainy season, which is from May until November, and the dry season, which is from December to April. In the rainy season, expect it to rain most days in the afternoon for a few hours, but rarely in the morning or at night. In the dry season it hardly rains at all. Some people prefer to travel to Costa Rica during the dry season, however the country is more green-looking in the rainy season and is therefore much more beautiful that time of year.

Bustling San Jose, with its colorful Central Market, the pedestrian shopping area, museums, the zoo, the business district, and an exciting nightlife zone can be conveniently reached by car, taxi or plentiful public buses 24 hours/day.

After a day exploring smoldering volcanos, steamy rainforest canopies, thundering waterfalls or the action of nearby San Jose, you and the kids can relax and unwind in our solar-heated outdoor infinity pool and Jacuzzi.

The hotel has three distinct spaces that you can eat in; our main lounge, which is decorated with a unique balance between rustic and elegance with the Indian chief immortalized in the central Guanacaste Tree and hand-painted wall murals. If you don’t want to be inside, eat in the open air beside our pool and Jacuzzi. Alternatively, you can sit at our bar and enjoy a range of national and international drinks. It’s the perfect place to meet new friends or reconnect with old ones.
