These luxurious bungalows are located in the heart of the Los Santos Forest Reserve, some 80 km from the capital city of San José off the Pan-American Highway heading towards the southern part of Costa Rica.
The small village of San Gerardo de Dota is only a few miles away. Constructed on the top of a hill in the middle of this valley full of Quetzals, these bungalows offer a spectacular view of the cloud forest at an altitude of 2600 meters. The primary forest with century old oak trees is less than a minute’s walk away.
A walking trail system provides access to the nearby nine hectare private cloud forest reserve. Furthermore, they are the closest hotel to the newly created Los Quetzales National Park.
Breakfast is included in the rates, lunch is also offered at the restaurant and for dinner there is a typical Costa Rican restaurant with very good local food just 500 meters up the road. It is possible to order dinner and have it delivered right to your own bungalow.
Accommodations
All Bungalows offer a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and forest. Large, from floor to ceiling, glass windows, some up to 6 meters wide, give you the impression of being in the forest itself. Every Bungalow has its own terrace or garden situated at the south or west side, combining the warmth of the sun in this temperate climate with a view that enables you to oversee the valley and primary forest. Ideal for birdwatching from a comfortable chair. The terraces are covered so that neither fog nor rain will disturb you.
